Apparently there are some visitors of lordkinjo.com and maybe even prospective martial arts students that are a bit confused as to the content of the site. So I thought I might post a little message to clarify the intention of our web-site.
First and foremost our site is the online location to find ALL of the creative outlets of the one known as Lord Kinjo.
Lord Kinjo is the chosen warrior name of Sensei Michael Robinson 5th Dan and founder of the Makoto Kinjo Ryu Budo. Registered songwriter, published poet, reiki master teacher, ordained minister, and head of the Triadic Martial Arts Institute. Being a seeker of spiritual truth and potential Mr. Robinson uses the archetype of the dark warrior-mystic to breakthrough the chains that bind us to dogma, "beliefs", and the limited understanding of the masses. It is the spirit of the shaman who walks between worlds in order to expand consciousness or the seeker who chooses the vision quest for enlightenment that motivates Mr. Robinson.
As far as ascetics go the web-site is a work in progress and only recently became an outlet for the Triadic Martial Arts Institute. I assure all that may be concerned that it will change as do all things.
Mr. Robinson is known by his peers as an exceptional martial artist. Possessing an enormous amount of knowledge and training. Being trained by some of the best Martial Artists in the state of Michigan and having had the opportunity to travel for instruction, seminars, and further study Mr. Robinson has much to offer the martial arts community as a whole. Even though competition plays little role in the Makoto Kinjo Ryu he still is highly rated in Black Belt sparring in the state of Michigan. The martial arts are about self-discovery not different from other pursuits of the soul such as music, spirituality, or creative writing. They are facets of the whole and it is in this intention that we must approach our training and our lives. Our Budo program is very intense and complete. By covering all ranges of combat in the physical realm and more importantly methods for dealing with conflict of the mental and spiritual realms we work towards wholeness.
